Art & Altar exists to restore the heart of worship.

In a culture where worship can easily become performance-driven or disconnected from its foundation, Art & Altar calls creatives back to a deeper place—where artistry and surrender are not in competition, but in partnership.

Because worship was never meant to be just excellent.

It was meant to be offered.

Who We Are:

Art & Altar is a space for worship leaders, singers, musicians, and creatives who desire to grow both spiritually and practically.

We believe:

  • Your gift matters
  • Your heart posture matters more
  • And you should never have to choose between the two

This is a community and training ground where creatives are equipped to lead with clarity, confidence, and conviction—grounded in both skill and theology.

Our Mission:

Our mission is to develop worship leaders and teams who are:

  • Spiritually grounded
  • Musically prepared
  • Emotionally healthy
  • Leadership-minded

We exist to bridge the gap between heart and skill, helping teams move from:

  • Reactive → intentional
  • Inconsistent → prepared
  • Performance-focused → presence-centered

What We Do:

Through coaching, intensives, and training experiences, Art & Altar provides:

  • Worship leader development and coaching
  • Team training and culture building
  • Hands-on set planning and flow guidance
  • Biblical teaching on worship and leadership
  • Practical tools you can apply immediately

Whether you’re leading a team, growing into leadership, or developing others—this is designed with you in mind.

Why Art & Altar:

The name itself is the foundation.

Art represents the discipline, excellence, and stewardship of your gift.

Altar represents surrender, sacrifice, and the presence of God.

You need both.

Without art, there’s no structure.

Without altar, there’s no substance.

Art & Altar is where the two meet—and where worship becomes what it was always meant to be.

Founder:

Art & Altar was founded by Shawanda Lynette, a worship leader, coach, and trainer with over 20 years of experience in ministry, leadership, and team development.

Her heart is to see worship leaders strengthened, supported, and equipped—not just to lead songs, but to lead people well.

If you’re ready to grow as a worship leader, develop your team, and lead from a place of both excellence and authenticity—

Welcome to Art & Altar
